AIT and Oregon State University foster relations

AIT and Oregon State University, U.S.A., will soon cooperate in teaching and research. A memorandum of understanding will be signed by Dr. Edward Ray, president of OSU; Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT president; Prof. Rebecca Johnson, vice provost for academic affairs and international programs, OSU; and Prof. Peter Haddawy, AIT’s vice president for academic affairs, on 6 September 2006.

The five-year agreement involves: faculty exchange, joint research, technical assistance and development activities, participation in seminars and academic meetings, exchange of academic materials and other information, special short-term academic programs and student exchange for research and study.

Apart from AIT faculty and staff members, the delegation from OSU who will participate the signing ceremony are: Prof. Mark Kusk, director, International Education and Outreach; Prof. David B. Hannaway, Forage Program director, Department of Crop and Soil Science; Ms. Julie B. Schwartz, associate director, OSU Alumni Association; and Mr. Alan S. Cooper, affiliate faculty.
