Talk highlights of Department of Mineral Fuels activities
Krairit Nilkuha, director – general, Department of Mineral Fuels, will give a talk on ‘Highlights of Department of Mineral Fuels Activities,’ at the Society of Petroleum Engineers meeting on Thursday, 19 October 2006, at 5:30 p.m. at Vibhavadee Ballroom C, Sofitel Hotel in Bangkok.
Mr. Krairit has been instrumental in creating human resource development projects for the offshore E&P; industry, being one of the founders of the Technical Petroleum Training Institute as well as a main contributor to the master’s curriculum in Offshore Technology and Management at AIT.
The event also includes cocktails that will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner at approximately 6 p.m.
Before becoming the director-general of the department in 2005, Mr. Krairit served as a deputy director-general and a director of the mineral fuels division under the Department of Mineral Resources. A 33-year veteran of the E&P; industry, he is well-recognized by the international oil community through his leadership in planning, concession, and production sections. With a B.E. in mechanical engineering from Kasetsart University, he received his M.S. in petroleum engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, USA.
