Prof Rajendra P. Shrestha, Dean SERD along with Mr Sanjeev Jayesinghe, OAAA director of AIT visited Sri Lanka from May 31 to June 4, 2019 to forge partnership with Sri Lankan Universities. Sri Lankan Universities need substantial human resources to build their faculty capacity at doctorate degree level. During the visit, they visited Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sri Lanka Resident Mission, which is supporting infrastructure, curriculum and human resources capacity development of selected Sri Lankan Universities. Prof. Shrestha also visited Wayamba University, Rajarata University, and Sabaragamua University and met the senior management including Vice Chancellors to discuss about possibility of AIT engagement to develop their human resources capacity. During this visit, possibility of internship of Sri Lankan students at AIT, joint faculty research/publications were also discussed.
