On 5th September 2019, Shanghai Municipal Civil Defense Office (SCDO) and Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) visited Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, Prof. Rajendra P. Shrestha, Professor and Dean, SERD presided over the meeting and provided the delegation an overview of AIT information, together with Dr. Indrajit Pal, Assistant Professor, and Chair, Disaster Preparedness Mitigation and Management (DPMM) Program provided DPMM program details. Mr. ZHONG Jie, Director-General, Shanghai Municipal Civil Defense Office lead the delegation from Shanghai. The objective of the visit was to make the SCDO delegates understand about AIT activities towards disaster risk management.
