24th August 2022 – AIT signed an MoU with Foshan University in china via Hybrid on 24 Aug. 2022, as part of China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week, and the Launching Ceremony of ACTU Agriculture & Food Committee

AIT president Dr. Eden Woon and Dr. ZENG Xin’an, Vice president of Foshan University, China, signed the MoU between the two universities in an online-offline-combination manner. Dr. Pasupha Chinvarasopak, Minister Counsellor (Science & Technology), Royal Thai Embassy in China, honorable guests of the two countries, and the representatives of the member institutions of the Alliance of China Thailand Universities (ACTU) witnessed the signing of both the conference venue and online.
The MoU Signing Ceremony convened during the 2022 China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week. It followed The Opening of The 4th Forum on China–Thailand Higher Education Cooperation and The Launching Ceremony of ACTU Agriculture & Food Committee. The MoU signing highlights significant outputs by the alliance. Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand, and Mrs. Feng Junying, Education Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, delivered congratulatory remarks.
The partner university: Foshan University (FOSU), is a high-level institution of science and engineering located in Guangdong province, China. Currently, FOSU has 1,864 teaching staff, 8,894 full-time undergraduate and 1,760 postgraduate students, and offers 53 programs covering ten disciplines. AIT and FOSU will explore collaboration opportunities on doctoral-level education, research, and academic exchanges in mutually interested areas.
