Congratulations to Prof. Huynh Trung Luong for being promoted from the rank of Associate Professor to Full Professor following the approval of the Board of Trustees at its meeting held on the 4th of August 2022.
Dr. Luong joined AIT as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) in 2003 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2009. He obtained both his Doctor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees in Industrial Systems Engineering from AIT in 2000 and 1995, respectively. He was the recipient of AIT’s James A. Linen III Memorial Prize for the most outstanding academic performance in 1995. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam in 1992. Dr. Luong’s research focuses on operations research applications such as inventory control and management, maintenance management, supply chain management – particularly on the analysis of Bullwhip effect in supply chain.
