AIT and Christiani & Nielsen Energy Solutions Co., Ltd. (CNES) Partnership

On 20 October 2022, AIT President Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, and Mr. Bhargab Mohan Das, AIT alumnus and Managing Director & CEO of Christiani & Nielsen Energy Solutions Co., Ltd.  (CNES), signed an agreement to support one unit of Incubator Space at THB 150,000 located at the AIT Entrepreneurship Center.  CNES will use this facility as a breeding ground to initiate and discuss students’ innovative ideas together with the participation of faculty and CNES business partners.  This unit is named under CNES Company, and furthermore, a non-binding Letter of Intent was signed to explore the possibility of setting up an Agrivoltaic Project at AIT.

President Prof. Yamamoto expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Bhargab for his continued individual support to the Institute and now taking the initiatives of CNES Brand co-founded by him, to bring AIT to a greater Sustainable Height. The project is interesting and this support comes timely for AIT’s mission.

AIT Team led by Prof. Dieter Trau, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology and Director, Entrepreneurship Center are in discussions with CNES to work on joint projects, which will be mutually beneficial for both organizations and help AIT in its mission towards achieving a sustainable, eco-friendly campus.

Mr. Bhargab thanked Prof. Yamamoto and mentioned it is his pleasure to support his alma mater. He further stated that CNES looks forward to this long-term partnership that facilitates the mutual needs of both his Alma Mater as well as the Brand CNES he co-founded. This way, Mr. Bhargab personally feels to be a beneficiary from either side. Via initiatives with CNES, Mr. Bhargab aspires to contribute significantly towards making AIT one of the most sustainable places to live with targeted carbon neutrality in the near future.

From AIT, the ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dieter Trau, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology and Director of Entrepreneurship Center; Prof. Nophea Sasaki, Professor in Natural Resources Management program; Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Director Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs; Ms. Jennifer Pangilinan, Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Center; Ms. Sirikate Owasit, Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs and Mr. Trent Roeksangket, Senior Content Specialist, AIT Enterprise Alliance.
