AIT President Prof. Yamamoto during his mission to Sri Lanka on 14th November 2022 met with Mr. Ryotaro Hayashi who oversees the ADB resident mission office in Sri Lanka.
President Yamamoto informed on the on-going projects with three Sri Lankan universities on short-term tailor-made capacity building programs prepared by AIT Extension with funding coming from Science & Technology Human Resource Development Project (STHRDP) under ADB. Mr. Hayashi informed that he has no objection in approving the budgets through the STHRDP office as long as the universities send their requests in selecting AIT Extension for these training programs.
Also attending the meeting were H.E. Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne, former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand and presently the Senior Advisor to H.E. President of Sri Lanka on foreign media, her husband, Mr. Suren Senewiratne, Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Director, Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs and Ms. Sirikate Owasit, Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.
