AIT President Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto paid a courtesy call to Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of Amata Foundation and Chairman of Thailand-China Business Council on 13th December 2022 at Kromadit Building.
President Yamamoto informed on a few key goals that he plans to accomplish during his tenure as Interim President including AIT Botanical Garden Campus towards Net Zero, and his plan to attract private sector to establish innovative and state of the art demonstration project at AIT through AIT being granted the status of Science and Technology Park by Board of Investment (BOI). This will further enhance between industry and AIT.
Mr. Vikorm stated that he has been associated with AIT for a long time and in fact, AIT had invited him as a special guest speaker at the AIT’s 50th Golden Jubilee Anniversary in August 2009. He further stated that AIT since its inception has served the needs of the region with respect to education and research and with its reputation, AIT should strive to become a regional postgraduate education hub in ASEAN and Asia. He further stated that there are currently more than 700 Japanese companies located in Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate and Mr. Vikrom would be happy to connect President Yamamoto with the Japanese CEOs through the Amata Japanese Association.
Furthermore, Amata will play a coordinating role in connecting AIT with the other companies in the industrial park for possible collaboration.
