27 June 2023 – During the official mission to Malaysia, Executive Director, Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe had an alumni dinner gathering in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Sanjeev handed over AIT souvenir and presented the mock cheque to Datuk Ir. Tan Chin Nyan, AIT alumnus graduated in SEC 1986 and presently Managing Director of Bridgex Bina Sdn Bhd (now known as BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd), on the one full master’s scholarship from Bridgex for one Malaysian student to enroll in Structural Engineering in August 2023 intake. This is the third THB one million scholarship that Datuk Ir. Tan has given to AIT.
BRIDGEX Co. Ltd. is one of Malaysia’s leading civil engineering firms. The company was established in 1997 as a specialist contractor prestressing, specialized in the work of prestressing works and casting of post and pre-tensioned precast beams.
Presenting the mock cheque to AIT by Datuk Ir. Tan Chin Nyan witnessed by the AITAA Malaysia Chapter President Mr. King Ho Leong (Tiger) with the scholarship recipient Mr. Lim Weijie.
Also attending the meeting were Mr. King Ho Leong (Tiger), CEO, Ellipse Enterprise SDN BHD (GTE 1992), Mr. Low Hui Seng ( Energy 1984), Mr. Kong Juin Shyan (ENV 1986), Mr. Tan Juat Ngoh (SEC 1988), Mr. Lai Yip Poon (SE 2009), Mr. Leong Geok Wen, Senior lecturer from Universiti Malaya, and Mr. Lim Weijie, Bridgex scholarship recipient for August 2023.
