23 August 2023 – Mr. Bhargab Mohan Das, Co-Founder, CEO and Managing Director, Christiani & Nielsen Energy Solutions (CNES) Co. Ltd. signed the second agreement with AIT President Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto to personally support AIT towards named 5 Scholarships (24 credits + 1-year registration fee for a total amount of THB 2,120,000) in Civil Engineering and 3 Student awards for Best Master’s Thesis (1 award every May graduation for a total amount of USD 6,000) in the field of Water Engineering and Management under his late father, Emeritus Prof. Madan Mohan Das and will also provide student internships offerings in one of his affiliated companies.
In addition, he graciously agreed to name one Student Village 2, Building #35 in the amount of THB 500,000. This building will be named after his late father, Emeritus Prof. Madan Mohan Das which the agreement is also signed.

Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director, Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs welcomed all attendees and thanked Mr. Bhargab for the close relationship and collaboration with AIT that continues to develop and become bigger.
AIT President, Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto expressed his appreciation and thanked Mr. Bhargab for his continued support to AIT in various aspects including Scholarships and student Dormitory upgrades which are very important in attracting academically qualified students to study postgraduate degrees in AIT.
Mr. Bhargab Mohan Das is an AIT alumnus who graduated Master’s in Structural Engineering in 2005. He stated that AIT has been a springboard that has catapulted his professional career significantly and is always happy to provide support in whatever capacity that will be beneficial to his alma mater.
Vice President for Administration, Mr. Russell Rein stated that he is grateful for his donation towards the refurbishment of Student Village 2, Building #35 which will provide present and future students comfortable accommodation during their studies in AIT.
The first recipient of the second agreement, Mr. Sahassawat Runganothai, a Thai Master’s student enrolled in CEIM, SET expressed his gratitude to Mr. Bhargab for awarding him the prestigious scholarship under his late father, Emeritus Prof. Madan Mohan Das. He stated that this is a life-changing opportunity to have a chance to study Master’s degree. He further stated that Mr. Bhargab is a good example of AIT alumni who are supporting their alma mater, and in the future, he will use this example to give back to AIT.
