28 September 2023 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Chailease Holdings Group on 28 September 2023. The agreement was formalized through the signatures of Mr. Albert Chen, Chairman of Chailease Group Taiwan, and Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, President of AIT.

Under the terms of the MoU, Chailease Holding Co., Ltd will sponsor Master’s scholarships for the one-year Master of Science in Business Analytics and Digital Transformation (BADT) program offered by AIT’s School of Management (SOM). This initiative aims to enhance human resource development and capacity building among Chailease employees.
As part of this collaboration, two employees from Chailease Thailand Office have already enrolled in the School of Management (SOM) in the August 2023 intake. Additionally, a staff member from Chailease Vietnam Office is scheduled to commence the one-year BADT program at AIT Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City for the October 2023 intake.
The MoU signing event also saw the participation of key individuals, including Dr. Wen-Chung Liao, Executive Director of AITAA Taiwan Chapter; Ms. Janny Cheng, Chief Human Resources Officer; Mr. Tim Wu, Vice President of the Human Resources Development Department; Ms. Annie Sun, Senior Specialist in the Human Resources Development Department; and Mr. Ben Lin, Executive Secretary General of AITAA Taiwan Chapter.
Prof. Yamamoto was accompanied by Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director of the Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs; Ms. Chotiros Mongkolchotirat, Director and Executive Secretary of the Office of the President; and Dr. Geoff Chao, Associate Professor & Department Head of SET at AIT. This partnership marks a significant step in promoting educational and professional development between AIT and Chailease Holdings Group.
