Dinner gathering with AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) Hong Kong & Macau Chapter President and Senior Alumni

Mr. Thomas Yau (SEC’89), President of AITAA Hong Kong & Macau Chapter, Mr. Ben Wong (SEC’88), Chairman of Fundraising and senior alum Mr. See Yan Joseph Cheung (IEM’88) hosted Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe and Ms. Lucena D. Talaid for a dinner meeting. We also had the pleasure to meet senior alum from Indonesia Mr. Johny Johan (SEC’89), who was visiting Hong Kong.

Mr. Ben conveyed that the AITAA Hong Kong & Macau Chapter was able to get support from the alumni and has proposed to contribute towards a Master’s scholarship to be utilized for the January 2024 intake amounting to THB 464,000.  This includes coverage for 24 credits of tuition fees (THB 384,000) as well as registration fees for 4 semesters (THB 80,000).  The scholarship is open to Hong Kong and Macau citizens who wish to enroll in any schools and programs in AIT.

Mr. Thomas highlighted that given the majority of alumni in Hong Kong are senior, there is a desire to inspire and support younger Hong Kong students by offering scholarships and encouraging their involvement in the Chapter.  This initiative aims to foster a connection between the experienced alumni and the younger generation, creating opportunities for growth and engagement within the AIT community.
