President of Brunel University London Visits AIT, Strengthens Partnership

26 January 2024: AIT and Brunel University London (BUL), United Kingdom, renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of a campus visit by BUL Vice Chancellor and President Professor Andrew Jones, who was accompanied by Ms. Kirsty Smith, Associate Director of Global Engagement, and Mr. Andrew Williams, Head of Development & Alumni Relations.

The BUL delegation met with Mr. Russell Rein, Vice President of Administration; Mr. Shawn Kelly, Executive Director of International and Public Affairs and Ms. Sirima Sirimattayanan, Senior Program Officer, International Affairs, OIPA.

AIT and Brunel have been partners since December 2021 and have an agreement for a Dual Degree Master’s Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to the MOU signing, the BUL delegates met with School of Engineering and Technology faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarawut Ninsawat, Dr. Mohana Sundaram Shanmugam and Prof. Dieter Trau for detailed discussions on the AIT-BUL dual degree program.

Students will spend one year at each institution, AIT in Thailand and BUL in the UK, earning two degrees. This academic partnership aligns with a shared vision for a sustainable future, focusing on producing top-level researchers and technological advancements.
