26 June 2024: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and The Water Research Commission (WRC) in South Africa on June 26, 2024. The purpose is to establish a partnership of collaboration and cooperation between AIT and WRC in research, development, academic exchange, and sustainable development goal number 6, which is to ensure access to water and sanitation for all.
The partnership will be anchored upon sharing knowledge, experience, insights, approaches, and opportunities in relevant areas. More specifically, the collaboration will focus on field research collaboration, academic material exchange, capacity building programs, developing research proposals and related research publications, and organizing national, regional, and international conferences and workshops in collaboration areas within the scope of this MoU.
