22 August 2024: The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Taiwan, have reinforced their longstanding commitment to academic and research excellence by renewing their Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Student Exchange. The MoA, renewed in a virtual ceremony on August 22, 2024, reflects the deepening collaboration between the two institutions, aimed at providing enriched educational experiences and fostering global engagement among students.

The MoA, initially signed in 2019, offering student exchange program opportunities has become a key pillar of the academic partnership between AIT and CYCU. Students from both AIT and CYCU will have the opportunity to participate in a one-semester exchange program, enabling students to experience diverse academic environments and cultures, and broadening their academic horizons.
AIT President, Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership, highlighting that the renewed MoA between AIT and CYCU signifies a shared vision between both institutions to cultivate a global learning environment. AIT and CYCU students will benefit immensely from the academic and cultural exchange opportunities that this collaboration provides, furthering their professional and personal growth during their exchange programs at their respective universities.
CYCU President, Prof. In-Ming Lee, welcomed the continuation of this valuable partnership, acknowledging the profound impact that such exchanges have on students’ future careers. He highlighted that the renewed MoA reflects CYCU and AIT’s commitment to providing students with unparalleled opportunities to experience a different academic culture while gaining valuable global perspectives.
Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director, Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, AIT, emphasized the strategic importance of international partnerships in today’s interconnected world. He further stated that this MoA renewal marks a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between AIT and CYCU, underscoring both institutions’ unwavering commitment to academic excellence, global engagement, and the development of future leaders equipped to excel in a diverse and dynamic world.
