18 September 2024 – Nineteen professors from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) have been ranked among the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists in their respective disciplines, according to the latest annual rankings released by Stanford University on 17 September 2024.

The Stanford University Top 2% Scientist Rankings recognize the most influential researchers globally, identifying those whose work has made a significant impact in their respective fields. This list represents the 2% of scientists worldwide, based on a rigorous evaluation of standardized metrics, including the h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations across different authorship roles, and a composite indicator (c-score). The rankings assess both career-long and single-year impacts to provide a comprehensive view of each scientist’s contribution.
Dual Recognition for Career-Long and Single-Year Impact
Eight professors have been honoured for their impact on both career-long and single-year achievements. These distinguished individuals and their fields of expertise are:
