28 October 2024: The Second Doctoral Colloquium 2024 took place from October 26 to 27 at the AIT School of Management. This yearly gathering provides a platform for DBA and Ph.D. candidates to connect, exchange ideas, and enhance their research journeys. It aims to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and support students in their academic endeavors.

This year’s colloquium brought together an incredible group of doctoral candidates, faculty, and industry professionals who delved into essential themes of balancing academic rigor, relevance, and societal impact. Across two days, discussions and presentations spanned diverse fields such as sustainable finance, digital transformation, and leadership in emerging markets, showcasing research that reflects both depth and practical relevance. Doctoral researchers from numerous countries came together at the event, sharing diverse perspectives and engaging in enriching exchanges of ideas.
A special highlight was the keynote by Dr. Kiththi Perera—a recent DBA graduate, Director at Connex Thailand, and former CEO of Sri Lanka Telecom. Dr. Perera shared valuable insights from his research journey, inspiring attendees with his reflections on the intersection of research and real-world leadership.

Another highlight was the networking dinner along the Chao Phraya River, where participants could unwind and connect in a scenic setting, fostering new collaborations in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. The following day, attendees visited the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC)—an inspiring creative and cultural exchange venue. This tour offered a unique chance to reflect on impact and discuss research topics in a vibrant cultural space, further enhancing the collaborative spirit of the colloquium.
