26 October 2024: The School of Management (SOM) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) organized a transformative study trek for 24 Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students from the Suryadatta Group of Institutes (SGI). They were accompanied by three faculty members and coordinators during the trip, which took place from October 19 to October 25, 2024.

The week-long journey aimed to enhance their understanding of Southeast Asia’s economic and business landscape through a combination of expert-led sessions, industry visits, and cultural experiences. Notably, students attended sessions focused on Southeast Asian business dynamics, covering essential topics such as regional capital markets, e-commerce trends in Thailand, and innovation management trends.

The trek offered valuable industry exposure through visits to companies such as Siam Cement Group (SCG) and BOSCH. Participants gained insights into international operations and strategies within Southeast Asia’s rapidly evolving business environment. These experiences provided students with a practical perspective on bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. Highlights included in-depth discussions with business leaders and an exploration of Thailand’s unique approaches to economic challenges and innovation.
Beyond academics, the program immersed students in Thailand’s rich cultural heritage. The trek concluded with a certificate ceremony celebrating the students’ commitment to expanding their global business perspectives. This unique blend of learning and cultural exploration has equipped SGI’s students as future business leaders with the knowledge and insights to navigate and succeed in a globalized economy.
