On November 6, 2024, the AIT Career Center hosted its inaugural AIT Career Forum, an event that combined the Career Fair with a dynamic Career Forum featuring distinguished speakers and industry representatives. This event provided students with valuable networking opportunities while enabling companies to engage with AIT’s diverse talent pool.

Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, voiced strong confidence in AIT graduates’ skills, encouraging companies to explore the exceptional talent nurtured at the institute. He expressed optimism that the forum would benefit all participants and yield positive outcomes.

Prof. Abdul Salam, Dean of the School of Environment, Resources, and Development outlined the forum as a landmark event and the first of its kind. He highlighted its role in helping students and companies connect, build relationships, and gain insights into global career trends.

Dr. Kamonchanok Kiatisakchai, Assistant Dean of the School of Management, emphasized the importance of recognizing opportunities. She encouraged students to engage with companies, embrace new challenges, and develop multi-disciplinary skills sought by today’s employers.

The event provided students with valuable opportunities to meet recruiters from prominent companies, explore job and internship openings, and gain insights into long-term career prospects. Organizations such as ASEAN Career Fair with Japan 2025, Aioi Bangkok Insurance PCL, Double A, Indorama Ventures Global Services Limited, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), MDPI, Schaeffler Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Sertis Co., Ltd., and Tractebel Engineering Ltd. (Thailand) held informative talks.

Additionally, representatives from leading firms, including Delta Electronics (Thailand) PLC, Double A, Halcyon Technology PLC, MDPI, New Space Intelligence, the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES), SCG, and Villeroy & Boch (Thailand) Co., Ltd. set up booths to share insights about their organizations and potential career paths.

Support resources like the SU Peer Counseling Desk, Student Affairs Counseling Desk, and Mock Interview Sessions provided students with guidance on personal challenges, academic concerns, and interview skills. Additionally, School Info Desks offered information on academic programs, fostering a comprehensive support network for students’ career preparation.

The Career Forum served as a pivotal bridge between academia and industry, emphasizing the need for curricula that align with real-world applications. Students benefited from direct interactions with industry professionals, enhancing their readiness for evolving workforce demands.
