On February 7, 2025, AIT President Professor Pai-Chi Li paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), to discuss ongoing and future collaborations.

Established in 1991 by the Government of Thailand, NSTDA plays a pivotal role in advancing science and technology nationwide. The agency collaborates with industries, universities, and international organizations to drive research, technology transfer, and commercialization in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and digital technology.
AIT and NSTDA share a strong partnership, facilitating collaborative research and providing AIT researchers access to NSTDA’s state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and equipment. NSTDA researchers also contribute to AIT’s academic excellence by serving as adjunct faculty. Additionally, both institutions have an agreement to promote cooperation between NSTDA, AIT, and the private sector in food innovation, including developing AIT’s campus as an extended part of Food Innopolis at Thailand Science Park and co-developing Thailand’s science and technology infrastructure.
During the meeting, Prof. Sukit provided updates on NSTDA’s latest initiatives, while Prof. Li shared AIT’s plans and potential areas for collaboration. Both emphasized the synergies between their institutions and reaffirmed their commitment to knowledge sharing, joint research, and innovation-driven partnerships.
