AIT’s Office of Special Degree Programs Hosts VJIM Students for Immersive Learning and Innovation

21 February 2025: The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)’s Office of Special Degree Programs (SDP) successfully hosted the International Education Innovation Camp from February 13-21, 2025. The program welcomed 133 management students and six faculty members from Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad, India, fostering academic collaboration and global exposure.

With the theme Ignite, Inspire, and Innovate, the camp featured seminars and hands-on sessions in digitalization, fintech, design thinking, communication, and entrepreneurship. Students participated in industry visits, cultural activities, and interactive learning sessions, enhancing their global perspective and career readiness.

Prof. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Vice President for Academic Affairs at AIT and Executive Director of SDP, highlighted the camp’s role in introducing students to AIT’s academic environment. “This camp offers students a unique opportunity to explore innovation, develop critical thinking, and experience AIT’s international learning environment. It’s a space to collaborate, gain new ideas, and build skills that prepare them for the future.”

AIT President, Professor Pai-Chi Li, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in shaping future professionals. “This collaboration aligns with AIT’s mission to develop skilled individuals contributing to regional sustainability and global integration. We are delighted to welcome VJIM students to our diverse and international campus,” he said.

The program blended academic, professional, and cultural experiences, including workshops, field visits, leadership exercises, and networking events. Students engaged in problem-solving projects and team-building activities while exploring Bangkok’s economic and cultural landscape.

VJIM students were guided by VJIM officials—led by Director Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Bhushan Singh, along with Dean Dr. Dammalapati Ravinath, Head-GIP Dr. Patra Rakesh Kumar, Senior Asst.Prof. Dr. Ramdeni Srinivasa Rao, Senior Asst.Prof. Dr. Atchyutuni Niharika, and Asst.Prof. Dr. Thota Haripriya.

This follows the success of the one-week Education Innovation Camp held from January 30 to February 7, 2025, where VJIM students and faculty. That immersive experience provided insights into AIT’s vibrant campus, diverse academic community, Thai culture, and international industries. Participants engaged in various academic and social activities, fostering both personal and professional growth.

VJIM, an autonomous B-School founded in 1993, aims to develop professional managers with a global outlook. Through this collaboration, students gain exposure to AIT’s dynamic academic environment, interact with international researchers and faculty, and visit world-class industries.
