CRMA Faculty Visits AIT for Insightful Exchange on Innovation and Sustainability

May 15, 2025 – The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) warmly welcomed a delegation of faculty members from the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA) for a study visit aimed at knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, and personnel development in preparation for future technological advancements.

The delegation led by Major-General Theppitak Nimit, Deputy Superintendent of CRMA, was received by Prof. Pai-Chi Li, President of AIT, along with Mr. Karma Rana, Institute Secretary; Ms. Chalita Lertwinyu, Executive Director of the Office of Thailand Affairs; and the AIT executive team.

During the visit, the CRMA faculty members attended a briefing on AIT’s academic mission, which highlighted its international master’s and doctoral programs focused on research and development in technology, engineering, and the environment. The group also toured the AIT Library to learn about its information systems and management, explored the advanced artificial intelligence laboratories at the AIT AI Center, and visited Drone Entry (Thailand) Co., Ltd., established at the AIT BOI Science and Technology Park (AIT BOI-STP), a company that develops and applies drone technology across various sectors such as surveying, agriculture, disaster management, surveillance, and national defense.

As an international postgraduate institution, AIT is committed to conducting impactful research and fostering strong collaborative partnerships. This CRMA delegation’s visit marks another significant step in strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions, with a shared goal of enhancing education quality, building personnel capacity, and promoting sustainability in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
