Huzhou, China — The global aquaculture community is set to gather for the seventh edition of the GIANT PRAWN Conference, scheduled from June 8 to 11, 2025, in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. This premier event focuses on the farming and conservation of freshwater prawns, particularly species within the Macrobrachium genus.

Jointly organized by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), China, in collaboration with the Zhejiang Institute of Freshwater Fisheries (ZIFF) and Huzhou University, the conference aims to foster international collaboration and share advancements in sustainable aquaculture practices
Attendees can look forward to keynote speeches from leading experts, technical sessions covering topics such as hatchery technology, nutrition, novel biotechnology, health management, and marketing, as well as an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge products and services in the aquaculture industry. A field trip to local prawn hatcheries and farms in Huzhou is also planned, offering participants firsthand insights into China’s aquaculture practices.
