This event represents the beginning of a fruitful, long-term, mutually beneficial partnership between AIT and Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL, aimed at bridging the gap between education and industry demands.

Under the Delta Master’s Degree Program 2025, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL is offering full master’s degree scholarships to four AIT students enrolled in the August 2025 intake, including guaranteed employment with Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL after graduation. Each student will receive one full master’s degree scholarship valued at THB 1.33 million under the Delta Master’s Degree Program 2025, which includes full tuition fees, registration fees, monthly bursary and accommodation allowances, medical insurance, and other related expenses.

AIT President Prof. Pai-Chi Li met with Dr. Carl Chen, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL, and team in March 2025 to advance the strategic collaboration between AIT and Delta Electronics. Prof. Li’s introduction of AIT to Delta Electronics, followed by sustained high-level interactions, has culminated in this significant milestone. He affirms that academic and industry partnerships in the field of high-tech innovation and industry-relevant solutions are where AIT is focusing more intensively, ensuring that the curriculum AIT offers will be of significant advantage to both AIT students and industry partners. He is assured that this collaboration exemplifies AIT’s commitment to students to have the opportunity to work with Delta Electronics, a global leader in power electronics, which will provide unparalleled exposure to cutting-edge technology and industry practices.

Dr. Carl Chen, Chief Technology Officer of Delta Electronics (Thailand), expressed confidence in AIT’s academic standards and the potential of the scholarship recipients. He highlighted his belief that the students will perform well, given AIT’s academic excellence and rigorous educational programs. Dr. Chen also encouraged the scholarship recipients to embrace language learning, particularly Thai and Chinese, noting that such skills would enhance their social connections and career prospects within Delta’s multicultural environment. Looking ahead, Dr. Chen expressed enthusiasm for continuing the partnership with AIT, saying he looks forward to receiving more academically qualified candidates from AIT for scholarships in 2026 and beyond.

Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director of the AIT Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs (OAAA), expressed gratitude to AIT President Prof. Pai-Chi Li for fostering this strategic, long-term mutually beneficial partnership between AIT and Delta Electronics. He extended appreciation to Dr. Carl Chen, CTO of Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL; Mr. Amit Kumar Dubey (Sunny), Manager – Recruitment & Staffing, SEA; and the entire Delta team for their commitment to implementing this Scholarship Program in a short timeframe. Dr. Sarawut Ninsawat, Associate Professor and Head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), thanked Delta Electronics for their support to AIT students. He highlighted the importance of aligning research directions between Delta and AIT, stating that discussions with student advisors and the Delta technical team would ensure that research projects are in line with Delta’s future strategic directions. This alignment will facilitate students’ smooth integration into Delta after graduation, with the company planning to assign mentors to each scholarship recipient and potentially provide co-advisors from Delta’s team during their studies at AIT.

The Delta Master Program is structured in three phases: First, students pursue their master’s studies at AIT with comprehensive academic support and access to mentorship from Delta professionals. Second, after completing their first academic year, students participate in a four-month internship at Delta Electronics (Thailand), gaining hands-on industry experience and practical application of their academic knowledge. Third, upon completing their master’s degree, students join Delta Electronics Thailand for a four-year employment commitment, ensuring a seamless transition from education to career advancement.

Out of the selected four scholarship recipients, two students are enrolled in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) programs and the other two in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) programs. The recipients were selected through a rigorous screening and interview process.

The scholarship program represents a significant investment in developing talent that aligns with Delta’s technological advancement goals and AIT’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates.
