15 October 2025 — AITs Prof. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Professor of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (RSGIS) at the School of Engineering and Technology and Executive Director of the Office of Special Degree Program (OSDP), has been appointed as an honorary Member of the Alumni Advisory Board of the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW), India.

Established in 1959, NIT Warangal is one of India’s premier technical institutions under the Ministry of Education, known for excellence in engineering education, research, and innovation.
The Alumni Advisory Board at NITW is a distinguished platform envisioned to draw strength from the institute’s accomplished alumni who have made significant contributions in Academia, Research & Development, Industry, Public Administration, and Entrepreneurship. Members will provide strategic guidance and mentorship to advance academic excellence and institutional growth.
NIT Warangal extended heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Tripathi for his commitment to contributing his expertise to the institute’s academic mission.

This appointment strengthens the ongoing partnership between AIT and NITW. In August 2025, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to create a Dual Master’s Degree Program in RSGIS, and also renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to continue their academic and research collaboration.
