The School of Engineering and Technology (SET) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is pleased to share the outcomes of a successful visit to the National University of Singapore (NUS) on 3 October 2025.

Led by Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Dean of SET and Co-Director of Global Water & Sanitation Center (GWSC), along with Dr. Sarawut Ninsawat and Dr. Branesh Pilai, the delegation met with the senior management team of the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) (cde.nus.edu.sg) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering (cde.nus.edu.sg/me) to explore potential areas of collaboration.

Key Areas of Collaboration
During the discussions, both institutions identified several promising areas for partnership, including:
- Joint academic and research activities
- Faculty and graduate student exchanges
- Establishment of joint laboratories and delivery of short courses
Engagement with the Institute for Environment and Sustainability (IES)
The delegation also engaged with the Institute for Environment and Sustainability (IES) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (lkyspp.nus.edu.sg/ies) to discuss opportunities for collaboration in water and environmental management.

This visit marks a significant step toward strengthening academic and research ties between AIT and NUS, advancing regional collaboration in engineering, technology, and sustainability.
