AIT Faculty Delivers AI Training at AIIB’s Inaugural AI Academy in Beijing

Beijing, 6 February 2026 – Dr. Chaklam Silpasuwanchai, Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Communication Technology (CSCT), Faculty of Technology at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), delivered an intensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing as part of its newly launched AI Academy.

The initiative, led by Kaisu Christie, Vice President and Chief Administration Officer at AIIB, aims to strengthen AI capabilities across the Bank. Over the course of the program, Dr. Chaklam conducted three three-hour workshops, two onsite sessions, and one online session, reaching approximately 300 staff members.

The sessions covered AI literacy, the evolution of AI, generative AI, advanced prompting techniques, banking use cases, and AI safety. The training combined conceptual foundations with practical, hands-on applications tailored to financial and development contexts.

Dr. Chaklam’s invitation to train professionals at one of the world’s leading multilateral development banks highlights AIT’s growing international recognition in AI expertise and executive education. The engagement reinforces AIT’s role in advancing responsible AI adoption and digital transformation across global institutions.
