Introduction
The Center on Gender and Forced Displacement (CGFD), founded in 2023, is part of the Gender and Development Studies (GDS) program at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), under the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD). Supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), CGFD focuses on addressing the gender dimensions in forced displacement due to conflict, climate change, and political instability, with a primary focus on South and Southeast Asia. The center is committed to promoting gender equality through research, education, and policy reform.
