We are pleased to share that the Nepal Development Research Institute (NDRI) will be organizing its 23rd Annual Day Program on 19 May 2026 in Lalitpur, Nepal, under the theme of higher education transformation and human capital development in the digital and AI age. The program will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Dr. Gunakar Bhatta, Vice-Chairman, National Planning Commission, Government of Nepal. The program will feature a keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. K.K. Aggarwal, President of the South Asian University, India, on the topic: “Changing Landscape of Education Philosophy and Learning in the Digital Age”
Dr. Bindu N. Lohani, Vice Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees and Chancellor of the University of Nepal, will deliver the Opening Remarks and chair Technical Session I. In addition, AIT Vice President for Administration and Development (VPAD), Professor Siddharth K. Jabade, will serve as a panelist in the session on “Strategic Interventions to Reform Higher Education in Nepal.”
The event will bring together distinguished policymakers, university leaders, development practitioners, and academics from across the region to discuss the future of higher education, governance, innovation, and human capital development in Asia.
