The Faculty of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources (FANR) is a multidisciplinary academic faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), committed to advancing the sustainable management of agricultural, aquatic, natural, and food resources. Through high-quality education, applied research, and innovation, FANR prepares future-ready professionals to address critical regional and global challenges, including food and nutrition security, climate change, environmental sustainability, and resilient livelihoods.
FANR offers interdisciplinary degree programs in agriculture, aquaculture and aquatic resources, food systems, agribusiness management, nutrition, food engineering and bioprocess technology, and natural resource management. Our academic philosophy is rooted in learning by doing, integrating strong theoretical foundations with hands-on experience through applied research, laboratory and field-based learning, industry engagement, and the use of modern and digital technologies.
