Dr. Nurul Husna is an Assistant Professor in the Water Engineering and Management program at the School of Engineering and Technology, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Her research focuses on hydraulic and hydrologic engineering, hydraulic physical modeling, energy sustainability, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and fluid–structure interaction in hydraulic structures. She has developed technical and field experience, particularly at dam spillway sites in Malaysia, enhancing her practical expertise in hydraulic engineering. Dr. Nurul Husna has actively contributed to projects on dam safety by integrating computational, experimental, and field-based approaches. Her work also explores innovative and sustainable water management technologies to support climate resilience and infrastructure reliability. She received the Best Thesis Award/Research Development Award (World Water Day 2025) from the Malaysia Department of Irrigation and Drainage and several Gold Awards from SIIF, IPITEX, iCAN, and ITEX. She has also served as an invited lecturer for Hydrology and Engineering Geology at Henan Vocational College of Water Conservancy and Environment, China.
