Dr. Sein Minn

Faculty of Technology
Dr. Sein Minn is an Assistant Professor in the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science programs within the Department of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Université de Montréal, where he advanced student knowledge tracing and Q-matrix refinement through AI and machine learning techniques. Prior to his current role, he held research positions at INRIA, École Polytechnique, CNRS, and the Université du Québec à Montréal, leading projects on interpretable AI for education. Dr. Minn has published in leading venues such as AAAI, AIED, and ICDM, and serves as a reviewer and review editor for major journals including IEEE Transactions on Education and Frontiers in AI. His work, supported by grants from NSERC, Inria, and international partners, reflects his commitment to advancing trustworthy, adaptive AI for learning and beyond.
