Avirut Puttiwongrak received his Ph.D. in Environment and Resource System Engineering from Kyoto University in 2013. Dr. Avirut is currently an assistant professor at the Asian Institute of Technology, where he teaches an introductory Engineering Geology course as well as graduate courses in subsurface engineering and geoenvironment. Dr. Avirut’s current research interests include groundwater exploration; groundwater modeling; groundwater resource assessment; subsurface pollution monitoring and evaluation; CO2 sequestration (CCS); Geo-data analytics studies; and laboratory-scale geohazard investigations.
