Prof. Dr. Mario T. Tabucanon is Emeritus Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology, where he served in the faculty for more than 30 years and held senior administrative and leadership positions.

In his illustrious academic career, he established an outstanding reputation internationally, and recognized for his contributions in the field of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, especially for his impactful achievements in the development and applications of Multiple Criteria Decision Making methodologies and modeling tools to solve managerial and sustainability oriented problems.

He has a long association with the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), Tokyo, Japan serving in various capacities such as Senior Visiting Professor, Senior Visiting Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor through his advocacy, promotion, development and practice of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the region and globally.

Throughout his professional career, he led the creation of various professional networks as well as academic and research entities including the International Society of Environmental and Rural Development (ISERD) in which he served as its Founding President and has continued to hold the office to the present.

He serves as Senior Advisor at RRC.AP.
