Description– CLARE-ASEAN initiative aims to support transdisciplinary and action-oriented research that fosters evidence-based policies and programs to address urgent priorities. The initiative will support the implementation of new research projects; and 2) tailor existing evidence to the relevant policy demands from ASEAN and/or institutions based in ASEAN Member States (AMS). The initiative falls under the UK-Canada CLARE framework research programme. CLARE-ASEAN will use an evidence-driven approach to enable the delivery of socially inclusive and sustainable actions for building urban resilience to climate change and natural hazards in ASEAN, including through nature-based solutions. CLARE-ASEAN addresses the urgent need to scale up research and innovation efforts to provide better information on climate risks, better decision-making tools, and better climate adaptation solutions to enable transformational change toward urban climate resilience.
