Project location: India

Project budget– 3,000,000 THB

Donor– METI/RITE, Japan

Project duration- 1/Jun/24- 31/Dec/27

Primary SDG Goal of focus: 7. Affordable and Clean Energy

Related SDG Goals of Focus: 13. Climate action; 12. Responsible consumption and production

Description- The project aims to create a research community with a focus on end-use, demand-side perspectives that further dialogue and cross-fertilization of research and policy analysis through data, concepts, and methodologies. The goal is also to develop a service-oriented bottom-up demand model to help in providing inputs to climate policy analysis.

The assessment of the energy demand side, first addressed in the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has not yet been sufficiently quantitatively and comprehensively analyzed. The latest scientific knowledge on climate change must be provided during the writing period of the upcoming 7th Assessment Report. Project activities include developing research, publications, policy recommendations.
