Description- The project aims to enhance resilience to drought impacts on agriculture in northeastern Thailand by improving water management practices and identifying adaptive strategies. Through a transdisciplinary approach, this project will generate new knowledge on the causes and effects of droughts, their impacts on local communities, and the effectiveness of different adaptation strategies, with a focus on water resource management and food sovereignty. Key objectives are 1) Compare model-based drought assessments with actual field impacts and explore consistencies and discrepancies. 2) Map involved/affected stakeholders and social structures (existing or desired) and 3) Identify constraints and opportunities for upscaling existing adaptations and for implementing innovative ones (water-related).
