The main objective of this program is to enhance the CHED-approved research program titled “Advancing Indigenous Food Production Systems Through Academia- Industry Collaborative Research and Innovations Towards Healthy Food Security” through advancing on indigenous food systems, probiotics, functional foods and nutritionally enhanced future food generations through enhanced learning outcome through exposure to innovative technology, application-oriented mind for safer and sustainable food produce. The personnel (lecturers, researchers and professionals) from three different Universities, namely Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and some pharmaceutical and food industries from Ilocos region of The Philippines will obtain skillful knowledge on innovative technology, hands-on practice experiences and eco-friendly approaches towards safe and sustainable safe food produce utilizing the local (indigenous) food resources.
