AIT

Project location – Fiji, Indonesia, Philippines

Budget– 1,280,000 THB

Donor– IOM, Thailand

Duration – 10/Jun/24- 31/Dec/26

Primary SDG Goal of focus: 1. No poverty

Related SDG Goals of Focus: 1. No poverty; 13. Climate action; 17. Partnership for the goals

Description –The project will support the creation of Risk Index for Climate Displacement (RICD) to improve understanding of potential future impacts on population movements and underpin local action and integrate RICD data into local contingency and DRRM planning processes. It will catalyze local finance and action to implement priority actions identified during the planning process, through the creation of the Climate Catalytic Fund (CCF). CCF actions will enhance resilience and prevention efforts, principally through an HDPN approach.  The project will provide granular, operational foresight data related to the potential for future climate induced displacement. It will also coordinate with local actors, and where applicable, national authorities to coordinate and seek buy-in on the next steps
