The College of Water Sciences of Beijing Normal University (BNU) was formally established in 2005. It consists of the Institute of Hydrology and Water Resources, the Institute of Groundwater Science and Engineering, the Institute of Water Ecology and the Institute of Water Safety, Beijing Municipality Key Laboratory of Urban Water Circulation and Sponge City Technology and the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Underground Water Pollution Control and Remediation, two university-level laboratories and two university-level research centers, and the βEnvironmental Emergency Management Technology Research Centerβ jointly established with the Ministry of Ecological Environment.
AIT and BNU have maintained good cooperation since 2019, and have organized several academic seminars in the past years to deepen the understanding of each otherβs research and seek for further collaboration opportunities. This year, we decided to hold a hybrid seminar during their visit to AIT on 26 June.
The purpose of the visit is to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, explore joint project opportunities, and strengthen academic ties between the visiting party and the two institutes, particularly in the fields of hydrology, water ecology, and environmental engineering.
