23 February 2024: Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) delegates, led by Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), and Prof. P. Abdul Salam, Dean of the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD), visited the University of San Carlos (USC) in the Philippines on February 23, 2024. The visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities between the two universities and promote AIT to prospective students at USC.

During the visit, USC, represented by Fr. Jesuraj Anthoniappen, SVD, Dr. Rosana Ferolin, and Dr. Francis Mayo, warmly welcomed the AIT delegates.

Over 150 students attended an information session in the morning at USC. The deans provided comprehensive information about AIT, and the programs, projects, scholarships, and internship opportunities available within their respective schools.

In the afternoon, a leadership meeting took place, involving engagements with the Vice-President, Deans, Heads of Departments, and Directors of International Affairs of USC. This meeting further solidified the commitment of both universities to fostering academic excellence and international cooperation.

Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes of the meeting and are eager to build upon this collaboration. As the collaboration between AIT and USC continues to evolve, it promises to bring about significant advancements and opportunities for students and researchers alike.
