AIT and International College of Business and Technology (ICBT), Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding

5 April 2024: Dr. Sampath Kannangara, Executive Director CEO & Executive Dean of ICBT signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will enable cooperation between AIT and ICBT by developing collaboration in the Unified Bachelor’s – Master’s Degree Program, joint conferences, faculty development capacity building, short-term student mobility program, training, and research activities.

The International College of Business and Technology (ICBT) established in 2000, offers a range of programs from certificates to master’s degrees in collaboration with reputable universities in the UK and Australia. With its main campus in Colombo and several branches across the country, including Kandy, Matara, and Jaffna.  ICBT provides state-of-the-art facilities and a distinguished faculty committed to delivering quality education to over 15,000 students.

AIT and ICBT will also be signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Unified Bachelor’s – Master’s Degree Program for the three schools: School of Engineering & Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) and School of Management (SOM).

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Anura Gamage, Director Marketing; Mr Sampath Perera, General Manager; Mr Chandru Sandrasekran, Chief Academic Officer from ICBT. Representing AIT were Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Dean, School of Engineering &Technology (SET); Prof. Abdul Salam, Dean, School of Environment, Resources & Development (SERD) and Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director, Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs (OAAA).
