Project budget – 3.3 million THB

Project location– Thailand

Donor- Mahidol University; National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)

Project duration – April 2023- August 2024

Primary SDG Goal of focus: 1. No Poverty

Related SDG Goals of Focus: 3. Good Health and Wellbeing

Description:  The project aims to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to advance our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and improve diagnosis and prognosis. The main objectives of the research plan are as follows: develop AI models for interpreting brain imaging results for Alzheimer’s disease using MTA standard criteria; develop AI models for interpreting brain imaging results for Alzheimer’s disease using ERICA standard criteria; develop AI models for interpreting brain imaging results for Alzheimer’s disease using GCA standard criteria. Investigate and develop methods for predicting the future rate of brain degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease patients based on brain imaging data. By aiding in the early detection and management of Alzheimer’s disease, the project may help reduce the burden on healthcare systems, potentially lowering healthcare costs.
