AIT Career Fair: Uniting Aspirations and Industries

27 March 2024: The Spring 2024 Career Fair, hosted by the AIT Career Center on March 27  was a dynamic and highly anticipated event that brought together students and leading figures from the industry in an atmosphere of hope and ambition. Building on the success of previous fairs, this year’s event was designed to promote cooperation and remove barriers, presenting numerous opportunities for both students and participating organizations.

Professor Nitin Kumar Tripathi, the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at AIT, encouraged attendees to view the fair not just as a networking event but as a critical step towards realizing their aspirations, instilling in them a renewed sense of purpose.

Mr. Russell Rein, AIT’s Vice President for Administration, expressed gratitude to all attendees for their crucial participation. His remarks celebrated the fair as the commencement of a journey marked by partnership and cooperation, echoing AIT’s collaborative spirit.

ALSTOM Thailand, attending for the first time, was keen to engage with AIT’s talented students. Ms. Tassawalai Puttip, Senior Team Lead for Talent Acquisition, outlined their goal to hire promising candidates and explore internship and educational sponsorship opportunities. Mr. Xan Lindow, University Relations Manager at CRCC Asia, emphasized the fair as a prime venue for expanding their regional presence and offering students meaningful internship experiences.

Recurring participant Modern Dyestuffs & Pigments Co., Ltds. Mr. Peter Fang, emphasized their long-standing relationship with AIT, highlighting their preference for AIT’s engineering and management expertise while valuing professionalism above language skills.

The fair also featured a vibrant food market with food trucks and stalls offering culinary delights that fostered networking and friendships in a relaxed atmosphere, enhancing the overall engagement and warmth of the event.

Ms. Carla Gonzalez, Coordinator of the Career Center and Student Welfare Unit, highlighted the event’s crucial role in linking fresh talent with the industry. She pointed to the Career Fair’s sustained popularity and its effectiveness in securing internships and job placements for AIT students.

Student testimonials reflected positively on the fair’s impact and organization. Richa Kakati of the School of Engineering Technology (SET) lauded the fair’s organization, seamless program flow, quality of participating firms, and the extensive networking and exposure opportunities for students.

Shaurya Timala from the School of Environment, Research, and Development (SERD) expressed his enthusiasm for the job opportunities available. He appreciated the variety of firms present, underscoring the numerous possibilities for students to explore future career paths and connections.

Chen Yisen of the School of Management (SOM), praised the fair for offering a wide range of opportunities. He commended the event for its ability to align students specific skills with relevant and exciting job prospects.

The 2024 AIT Career Fair was notably successful, providing a valuable networking platform for students, faculty, and industry representatives. It offered diverse company participation and activities, yielding invaluable insights and connections. The event’s organizers extended their gratitude to all sponsors and participants, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing future fairs for the benefit of all stakeholders.
